Proton Beam Therapy in Small Nations: Financial Irrationality or Unique Collaborative Opportunity?

Despite progress, RT services still encompass redundancies, including the compulsion of each linear accelerator-equipped hospital to provide stereotactic radiosurgery, intensity modulated RT, image-guided RT, stereotactic body RT, and so forth. Incongruities of functions also exist (eg, within some Tel Aviv medical centers, which house sophisticated external beam machinery but lack a complementary brachytherapy unit). Such inconsistencies belie a strategic vision that typically informs a country in which a nationalized health system has been in place for >30 years (
